My Professional Journey

My journey working with children and families began in 2008. In my first year of college, I started working for a local preschool and I fell in love. I worked with infants for 5 years before taking a leap of faith and began working with toddlers and preschoolers. Throughout my journey as an Educator, I also finished my college degree and graduated with an Associate of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Education and Special Education.

My favorite part of working in a school environment (aside from all of my wonderful children) was building relationships with the families I worked with. As I watched my families struggle with the ups and downs of parenthood I always wondered if there was more I could do to support them in the same way I gave support to their children. In the Spring of 2020, I decided to leave my full-time job as a Teacher and pursue a new career path as a Postpartum Doula. Becoming a Doula gave me the opportunity to give families the support they needed in those precious few weeks after birth, and set them up for success later on. After finishing my Doula training I started coursework to become a Sleep Coach so that I could offer even more support to families!

It is my passion to give families the support they need to thrive in parenthood, and I am so grateful that I am able to share my experiences with you. Book an appointment today. I can't wait to meet you!
